Access the References function under the Borrower Services tab when you want to enter, review, or delete information pertaining to a borrower's personal references. When you access the References function, you will see a listing of the borrower's personal references. To select a reference to view or update, click on the Magnifying Glass icon to the left of the name.
To add a new personal reference record for a borrower, click the Add icon located in the Function Bar. When this icon is clicked, a new window is opened. Enter the reference information in the appropriate fields. The following fields (marked with an asterisk on the data entry screen) are required for entry:
· First Name
· Last Name
· Known Since Date
Click on this link: Data Entry and Edit Guidelines to review information pertaining to what values may be entered into the various fields on the Personal Reference Information entry form.
Click on the Reset icon to restore the data entry form to its initial (blank) state. Any data that was entered in the form will be erased from the display.
To save the reference information, click on the Save icon. The new reference information will be written to the database and the Reference List updated to reflect the new data.
To exit this process without saving the reference information, simply close the pop-up Personal Reference Information data entry window.
When the new reference information has been saved successfully, you will be
given the opportunity to enter address information for the newly-added
reference. Click on the Address icon, shown in the following example, to
add the new address.
To update an existing personal reference, click on the Magnifying Glass icon next to the name of the reference. Edit the data in the Personal Reference Information pop-up window. To edit the address information, click on the Address icon.
Click on the Reset icon to restore the update form to its initial state. Any modified fields will be restored to their initial value, which is the value that was displayed when the update form was first opened.
To save the reference information, click on the Save icon. The updated reference information will be written to the database, and the pop-up update window will be closed. The Reference List will be updated (if appropriate) to reflect the revised reference information.
To exit this process without saving the reference information, simply close the pop-up Personal Reference Information data entry window.
To delete an existing personal reference, click on the Magnifying Glass icon next to the name of the reference. To delete the displayed personal reference, click on the Delete icon. Click on the OK button to acknowledge the Delete action.
The selected reference record will be deleted, and the pop-up window will be closed. The Reference List will be updated to reflect the deletion. Any address records associated with the reference will be deleted as well.
To exit this process without performing the delete action, simply close the pop-up window.
