After a report is selected from the drop-down list, a Java applet is loaded in order to display the report viewer. The load process will take longer for the first report than for subsequent reports; this is due to the time needed to start Java on the user's workstation.
The first part of the load process involves starting the Java applet that will be used to host the Crystal Report viewer. During this process, the Contents area of the Reports screen is replaced with a blank window as shown in the following example:
The next part of the load process involves loading the Crystal Report viewer within the area defined by the Java applet. When the viewer is loaded, the screen is updated as shown in the following example:
The load process is complete when the selected report is displayed in the report viewer, as shown in the following example:
