Introduction

This Release Guide documents the Release 3.8.0 of the Campus Receivables Collector (CRC) system. The release 3.8.0 includes enhancements and problem resolutions.

New and Updated Features

Campus Receivables Collector

General

This upgrade converts the rendering of CRC reports from Crystal Reports ActiveX to the Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework.  The usage of the .NET version of Crystal Reports is not compatible with Internet Explorer.  Therefore, starting with this version, you must use either Edge, Chrome, or Firefox with CRC.  Versions of CRC prior to 3.8.0 will only work when using the IE tab mode of extension in Edge, Chrome, or Firefox.

·         The following reports were converted to Crystal .NET

o    Processes/Billing/Forecast

o    Processes/Rehabilitation Update

Reports

·         All reports have been modified in some way, shape or form to support rendering reports using the .NET version of Crystal Reports.

·         Payments – Online Gateway:  added identity of login/impersonator.

Customer Accounts

·         The following reports were converted to Crystal .NET

o    Accounts/Customer Account and History Detail

o    Correspondence/Coupons

o    Correspondence/Disbursement Notices

o    Correspondence/Mail - Print

o    Correspondence/Mail - Edit/Print Preview

·         Collector Referral File:  export file format was modified to include the new fields required to support Reg F.

·         IRS 1098E Reporting:  Incorporate IRS Pub 1220 2021 Changes

·         The following reports were converted to Crystal .NET

o    Banner AR/Payments

o    Banner AR/Credits

o    Correspondence/Benefit Mail

o    correspondence/Coupons

o    Federal/Clearinghouse

o    Federal/IRS 1098E Reporting

·         The following reports were converted to Crystal .NET

CRC Customer Web Access Specific Enhancements

·         Capture identity of login/impersonator for attributing payments posted to the correct individual.

Upgrade Paths

This information is for people who have been using a previous version of Campus Receivables Collector. If Campus Receivables Collector 3.7.0 is currently installed on your system, you can upgrade to 3.8.0

If a version other than Campus Receivables Collector 3.7.0 is currently installed on your system, you must first upgrade to 3.7.0 before you can upgrade to 3.8.0.

Enhancements and Defect Resolutions

All reporting throughout the entire system was converted to Crystal .NET.
